The robot that sees the robot

by todoconoin Uncategorized 0 Comment(s)

I have been working for quite a long time now on ways to let robots behave like animals. One thing that is especially intriguing to me is how can their individual consciences led to a collective intelligence.

This is deeply related to my work with ants and the fascination I have for their lack of ego. It’s strange to say that now I’m becoming an ant specialist and that I spent most of my time working on a computer algorithm. But this is the kind of journey I enjoy the most.

In order to provide robots a reference of where their peers are, I designed a radio transmission protocol that will provide indoor location thanks to an external observer. Just that this external eye is also a computer system, running an algorithm that serves as a reference to the others.
